PAICV presents strategy for Local Authorities, but uncertainty persists on Ilha Brava

At a press conference held at the party's headquarters in the city of Praia, PAICV leaders highlighted their proposals to improve local governance, promote socioeconomic development and strengthen civic participation in local authorities. However, the absence of a defined name to lead the electoral race on Brava Island raises concerns among voters and party members.

"It's a deplorable and inexplicable situation," said a PAICV activist in Brava. "With just a few months until the elections, it is unacceptable that we still do not have a candidate for Brava Island. We hope there is a commitment to resolving this issue as quickly as possible and ensuring that Brava residents have a clear and competent choice at the ballot box."

The lack of a solid candidacy in this region could compromise the party's aspirations to resume municipal management on the island of Nhô Tatai, lost more than 12 years ago.

As PAICV leaders continue to outline strategies for the elections, pressure is mounting for a solution to be found on Brava Island. Voters eagerly await the candidate's announcement, hoping he or she will bring vision, integrity and commitment to lead the community in challenging times.
